Alicia Peru is a fair trade premium alpaca knit and outerwear company. Proudly designed in the USA and meticulously hand crafted and manufactured in Peru in collaboration with several groups of skilled artisans and women owned/run co-operatives. Alicia Peru is a mother/daughter small business, formalized as a LLC in 2008. It was founded by the vision of its designer/founder, Alicia Rodriguez, to bring re-fined and elegant contemporary garments and accessories to market using the exceptional natural fibers and weaving/knitting heritage available in her native Peru. Alicia has a long history of working within the fashion industry. She began as a model in the 1980’s and was able to make a successful transition to product buyer and importer of Peruvian alpaca knitwear and accessories in the 1990’s. At present, she has evolved to be the creative force behind Alicia Peru and wishes to carry her vision onto select projects that will incorporate her sense of design.
