Al Fresco Friday: Café Cesura
Brewing Coffee & Community on the Eastside
Café Cesura has a tagline: drink good coffee, do good things with your hands. This local cafe is more than just an average shop. Owner Sean Nickerson insists on sourcing, roasting and brewing their own coffee in-house. According to Nickerson, coffee represents the communities where they are cultivated, that’s why he strives to present them in a worthy way.
“Being a person in my own community is important,” Nickerson said. “I am just trying to bring beauty to my little corner of the world.”
Café Cesura has been serving Bellevue's coffee lovers since 2011, marking this year its 10th anniversary since opening. Nickerson has more plans to come.
“I want to open a few more locations here in Bellevue and just keep serving coffee,” he said.
Come and experience Café Cesura's cozy patio with quality coffee and check out the owner's personal recommendations next time you're in need of a caffeine fix.
Nickerson's Top 3 Recommendations:
Vanilla Latte
The vanilla latte is beyond your average drink. The vanilla syrup is made with vanilla beans sourced from Guatemala, and espresso beans are roasted and brewed in-house! A great drink to jumpstart your day.
The Breakfast Sandwich
Named ‘Seattle’s Best Breakfast Sandwich’ by the SeattleMet, this sandwich is made with thick applewood smoked bacon, organic eggs, medium cheddar cheese and Sriracha on a Macrina potato square. A solid breakfast choice for those needing something quick and delicious.
Maple Death
Don’t be fooled by the name... this cold brew drink will liven you up. It includes their sweet maple syrup and house-made almond milk. Take a sip and a chance on this one to get you up in the morning.
