Bellevue Jazz & Blues Music Series Returns October 4-8
Downtown Bellevue to host 20+ live performances, headliners Stacy Jones Band, Pearl Django with Gail Petti
The annual Jazz & Blues Music Series will fill Downtown Bellevue with live music the first week of October. The annual series returns with more than 20 shows, including two headliners at Meydenbauer Center Theatre. The Stacy Jones Band will grace the stage on October 6 with a blend of high-energy blues and dynamic vocals, and Pearl Django with Gail Pettis will follow up with Hot Club jazz tunes on October 7. The featured lineup of 20-plus jazz and blues artists will play at venues across Downtown Bellevue, with many free to the public. Live performances will take place at Bake’s Place Bar & Bistro, El Gaucho, The Bellettini, Bellevue Place, Lincoln Square North and South, Meydenbauer Center Theatre, Bellevue Arts Museum, and AC Hotel Seattle Bellevue Downtown.
The BDA will also welcome a student showcase of local high school and middle school jazz combos, including Bellevue High School and Snohomish High School. Performances will take place Sunday, October 8, at the Bellevue Arts Museum.

The 2023 Bellevue Jazz & Blues Music Series has garnered tremendous support from event partner City of Bellevue and media partners 425 Magazine and KNKX Radio, reflecting the significance of this cultural celebration for the region.

With a performance history spanning almost two decades, Pearl Django endures as one of the most highly regarded Hot Club style groups working today. Although the band’s roots are firmly in the music made famous by Django Reinhardt and Stephan Grappelli, its extensive repertoire includes traditional jazz classics and original compositions. Pearl Django has performed at festivals, dances and nightspots throughout the U.S. and abroad. They have played at the prestigious Festival Django Reinhardt in Samois sur Seine and have been featured on NPR’s “All Things Considered.” The band’s signature style is marked by pristine and dexterous string work, colors of Bal Musette, the steady pulse of rhythm guitar and an unmistakable swing that delights audiences of all musical sensibilities. Throughout the years, Pearl Django has cultivated a devoted and enthusiastic following and they continue to play to packed houses wherever they perform.
Established in 2008, the previously named Bellevue Jazz & Blues Festival is a cultural and community event that attracts national artists, showcases regional talent and draws diverse audiences. Headlining artists are selected in collaboration with John Gilbreath, executive director of Earshot Jazz.
