Downtown Bellevue Road Construction & Closures

Bellevue and our region continue to make huge progress on projects to improve access and travel times. However, this progress also means a busy summer construction season and some delays. For anyone looking for a quick guide to the longer-term construction-related closure in and around Downtown Bellevue, look no further!
Central Bellevue
- 106th Ave NE: between NE 4th St & NE 6th St
Time Frame: Full closure in June.
Details: Utilities work and repaving to improve pedestrian crossing at NE 6th St. Now reopened to vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
Affiliated Project: Street improvements.
- 108th Ave NE: from Main St to NE 12th St
Time Frame: Through mid-July from 7 pm - 4 am, Sun - Thu.
Details: Crews are working nightly to remove old striping and add new striping.
Affiliated Project: Demonstration Bikeway Project
- 110th Ave NE: between NE 4th St & NE 6th St
Time Frame: Through spring 2019.
Details: Until recently was fully closed. One lane is now open in each direction. Work hours 7 am - 7 pm. Sidewalks restricted. NE 6th Street access to City Hall is permanently closed. Full closure scheduled to begin again in Winter 2018 for phase 3.
Affiliated Project: East Link Light Rail Construction
- 116th Ave NE: between NE 4th St & NE 8th St
Time Frame: Through July 19 from 9 pm - 6 am.
Details: Full closure. Closing roadway to vehicular access. Pedestrian access controlled by spotters on ground. Driveway access to business north/south of closure will remain (turn restrictions imposed).

Bel-Red
- 134th Ave NE & NE Spring Blvd
Time Frame: Nightly closures through July 27 from 8 pm - 6 am.
Details: On-street parking restrictions, sidewalk closure, pedestrian detour. Local access available.

South Bellevue
- Bellevue Way Southeast
Time Frame: September 2017 - November 2019.
Details: Ongoing closure. Reversible lane configuration (see image below). Closure of I-90 West HOV Ramp. Winters House, South Bellevue Park & Ride, and Blueberry Farm closed during construction.
Affiliated Project: East Link Light Rail Construction
- 112th Ave SE: between Bellevue Way SE & Main Street
Time Frame: July 12 - 20 from 9 am - 4 pm.
Details: Daily closure of one northbound lane between Bellevue Way SE & Main Street. Daily closure of one southbound lane between Main St & SE 8th St. Contractor may close one southbound lane of 112th Ave SE between SE 8th St & Bellevue Way SE.
