Annual Bellevue Jazz & Blues Music Series Returns from October 2-6

The Bellevue Downtown Association’s (BDA) annual Jazz & Blues Music Series will fill Downtown Bellevue with live performances from local and regional musicians throughout the first week of October. The series returns with more than 20 shows, including two headliners at Meydenbauer Center Theatre. The Joel Astley Band Featuring Johnny Burgin will take center stage on Friday, October 4th with a set featuring original pieces and high energy swing, roots rock, jazz and blues flair. Northwest jazz hall-of-famer Greta Matassa & Friends will follow on Saturday, October 5th with a six-piece ensemble band. Tickets are available at bellevuejazz.com.
Audience members can follow along with the jazz and blues crawl by checking out performances –- most are free -- at various gathering places in Downtown Bellevue, including Bake’s Place Bar & Bistro, El Gaucho, AC Hotel Bellevue, KidsQuest Children's Museum, The Bellettini, Lincoln Square North and South, Meydenbauer Center Theatre, and Paddy Coyne’s Irish Pub. Each location boasts a lively atmosphere with room to groove or simply sit back and enjoy some rhythmic jazz and blues.

The BDA is also excited to welcome a student showcase of local high school and middle school jazz combos. These shows will highlight burgeoning young talent and their contributions to the cultural enrichment of the region. Watch the students ignite the spark of self-expression on Sunday, October 6th, at KidsQuest Children's Museum.

The 2024 Bellevue Jazz & Blues Music Series has garnered tremendous support from event partners City of Bellevue, 4Culture, and media partners 425 Magazine, Cascade PBS, and KNKX Public Radio, reflecting the significance of this cultural celebration for the region.
