Eastside’s Largest July 4 Celebration Coming Up at Downtown Park

Family 4th to feature fireworks, food trucks and family entertainment!

The Bellevue Family 4th, the Eastside’s largest fireworks event, will be Thursday, July 4, 5-10:30 p.m. at Downtown Park. Presented by The Bellevue Collection, the Family 4th will feature live music by local artists, diverse family entertainment and a performance by the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra accompanying the fireworks that start at 10:05.

The lineup at the Amazon Entertainment Plaza will begin at 5, showcasing country music star Aaron Crawford, followed by disco-funk fusion cover band Soulfunktion at 7. Yard games, roaming entertainers and merchandise vendors will provide family entertainment and activities. Food and beverage vendors will be available during the festivities.

To set the stage for the standout fireworks display, the Bellevue City Council will lead the Pledge of Allegiance followed by a rendition of the national anthem by Bellevue Chamber Chorus.

Getting there and back

The park is at 10201 NE Fourth St. Visitors are encouraged to think locally and walk, bike, take light rail, the bus or carpool there. 

Transit service to the Bellevue Transit Center (at Northeast Sixth Street and 108th Avenue Northeast) from Seattle and surrounding areas is also available. Light rail service on Sound Transit’s 2 Line will be extended to 11:30 – two hours longer than usual. Comprehensive information about travel options can be found at ChooseyourWayBellevue.org

Several streets will be closed to vehicle traffic near the park for safety and to minimize delays. Please be patient, observe posted signs and obey police officers directing traffic. Street parking on nearby residential streets is prohibited; violators may be towed.

Free parking will be available after 5 p.m. at The Bellevue Collection properties (Bellevue Square, Lincoln Square North, Lincoln Square South and Bellevue Place). For efficient, post-event exit, park at Lincoln Square or use the Bellevue Place garage and exit via Northeast 10th Street.

Parking for people with disabilities is in Downtown Park’s west parking lot off 100th Avenue Northeast.

Staying safe

The Bellevue Fire Department reminds residents and visitors that the sale, use or possession of fireworks is prohibited in Bellevue. Personal fireworks, alcohol and drugs are not allowed at Downtown Park. In addition, grills, barbecues, camp stoves and other cooking devices are prohibited.

Fire Prevention Officers will be conducting emphasis patrols the evening of July 4. Residents can begin reporting fireworks in the MyBellevue app starting June 29.

Well-behaved dogs are allowed in the park but must be on a six-foot leash. No dogs, tents or canopies are allowed in the Amazon Entertainment Plaza seating area. Small tents or canopies are allowed at the park until 8, when all tents must come down.
