Eat Local, Fresh and Fast with Just Poké
“Washington isn’t just a state to do business in, it’s a home to take care of.”
That local pride and commitment to quality food and service is what Just Poké is about. The business is not just any other chain - it cares about the people it’s feeding. Danny and Norman, the two Seattle locals who started this business, grew up in the area and also raised their families here in Washington. So, feeding others from their home is an important mission for them, and they have made many choices to ensure they are doing it the right way.
“It’s not just about the food—it’s about the experience,” Mandy P. Ratanaarporn, director of operations at Just Poké, said. “Our commitment to community involvement and top-notch customer service ensures that every visit is not just a meal, but a feel-good moment you’ll want to share."
The primary ingredient of poké is raw fish, and this chain takes the quality of that fish very seriously. Two of the most common fish used are tuna and salmon - their tuna is caught by hand from the Pacific and is rated as number one Sashimi grade quality; as for their salmon, it is purchased from Best Agriculture Practices (BAP), which is dedicated to farm-raised, ethical fishing, and is used by 150+ retail and foodservice companies worldwide.
Here, you have the option to build your own bowl, or order one of the thoughtfully crafted bowls offered on their menu. Consider ordering one of the customer favorites, like the Pike Place bowl with shoyu salmon, or the Honey Karaage, with Togarashi Hot Honey Chicken Karaage and other delicious veggies. There are also vegetarian options, including the Crispy Tofu bowl, with fried tofu, garlic onion sauce, chili mandarins and more.
Want more than just a bowl? Get a side of hot miso soup, crunchy furikake, Chex mix or delicious spam musubi with your bowl. At Just Poké, you get a mixture of delicious taste and an introduction to local Hawaiian cuisine.
By having a meal at this downtown delight, you are not only getting a tasty breakfast, lunch or dinner - you are giving your money to a company that is dedicated to sustainable practices and ethical farming. Though it may have been difficult to compete with other businesses that serve poké at lower prices, this spot knows that the Bellevue community supports its vision for a better world.
“Downtown Bellevue is our kind of place!” Ratanaarporn said. “Being surrounded by like-minded businesses and residents who care about sustainability and quality makes our mission feel right at home.”
Sustainably sourced, local fish, protection of marine environment and quality customer service is what Just Poké happily provides. Knowing the background of a company is important, and after now understanding what this PNW chain is about, you can enjoy a delicious poké bowl with some peace of mind.
“Come visit us at Just Poké and experience poké like never before!” Ratanaarporn said. “Whether you’re a long-time fan or new to the poké craze, we promise a delicious meal served with a side of aloha spirit.”
