Keeping You Connected to the Heart of Bellevue

When we first launched our Heart of Bellevue campaign, we set out to help support Downtown businesses, showcase local artists and shine a light on our community’s creativity, resiliency and recovery. As the campaign unfolded, we’ve met countless business owners, creatives, residents and workers who collectively make Downtown the place that it is. Those are the stories we’ve been telling – and what we’re celebrating in even more ways for 2021.

If you follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, you’ve seen the core of the Heart of Bellevue campaign: showcasing the people and places of Downtown. From spotlighting Downtown deals and offerings to highlighting the inspirational stories behind your favorite local businesses, we’ve been connecting the community in new ways. Read through our blog and browse these stories – you’ll be hard pressed not to learn something new about Downtown. And if you aren’t already, engage with us on social media! We’ve also been reimagining the Downtown experience in new ways. From partnering to support local restaurants with Al Fresco Dining on Main Street to giving area talent a virtual stage with our Summer Music Series, we’ve created new opportunities to celebrate the vibrancy of Downtown. Music fan? Stream our all-virtual Bellevue Jazz & Blues Music Series. Urban explorer? Take a walk on the Grand Connection or discover some of Bellevue’s creative spaces. Even with the absence of our signature events, the Heart of Bellevue campaign built new experiences and opened the doors for new ideas.

Speaking of which, today marks the culmination of our Season of Cheer campaign - where in partnership with the folks at Symetra - we reimagined the Downtown Bellevue holiday experience. For five weeks, we gave the Heart of Bellevue campaign a festive-themed makeover: we built Downtown gift guides, showcased holiday experiences and transformed Downtown Park with color-changing lights and lit up Main Street with the inviting glow of classic holiday bulbs. Things may have looked different this year, but the holidays Downtown weren't lacking cheer.

While the Season of Cheer has come to a close, the Heart of Bellevue campaign continues! We’ll keep sharing stories, creating experiences and building connections. We’ll continue showcasing the latest arrivals at Downtown shops and spotlighting mouth-watering takeout specials. Follow along on social media and make sure you're getting our weekly email.

We’re celebrating in even more ways as we blaze ahead in 2021 – we look forward to the year ahead, and seeing you Downtown!
