Here's What to Expect this Labor Day Weekend
For the first time ever, St. Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Washington will take place in the Heart of Bellevue this Labor Day weekend! Starting and ending at Bellevue Downtown Park, runners and walkers alike will take on an action-packed course filled with music every mile, stunning skyline views, and a gorgeous sight of Mount Rainier. We're gearing up for Bellevue’s big event happening this Saturday and Sunday, Here’s our complete guide for this year’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Washington event:
Course Overview
Half Marathon Run:
The half marathon will take you on the ultimate tour of Bellevue. The race begins at 6:30 a.m. with a time limit of four hours on September 4. Rock ‘n’ Roll Washington provides a PDF version of this course as well as an interactive map.
5K Run:
A shorter yet still enjoyable run, the 5K route takes you from Bellevue Downtown Park, down to West Bellevue, and back. The start time begins at 7:00 a.m. on September 3 and will have a time limit of one hour. You can view the interactive course map for a better view of the run.
KiDS ROCK Run:
Bring the kids for a fun run through Bellevue! The KiDS ROCK course begins at 9:00 a.m. September 3. Course map coming soon.
Road Closures
There will be over 25 road closures, including many heavily trafficked roads like Bellevue Way NE 4th St., Bel-Red Road, and residential roads – closure and reopening times vary. More information, including the complete list of road closures, can be found online.
Live Music Entertainment
Headliner announced! Nevermind, a Seattle-based rock and roll trio, will pay tribute to legendary rock band Nirvana on the main stage this weekend. Come as you are and experience a powerful and energetic performance that will take you through Nirvana’s most loved albums and songs. Other musicians include Triple Threat Band, DJ Cable, Quarter Past 8, and more. The full lineup can be found on their website.

St. Jude Rock 'n' Roll Washington features a two-day Health & Fitness Expo held at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue prior to the race. Free and open to the public, they’ll feature the latest running technologies, fitness apparel, health & nutritional information, and interactive displays. All runners must visit the expo to pick up their race number, gear bag, and t-shirt.
