Coming from a family dedicated to shaping Bellevue's dining scene, Cody Brazen is no stranger to Downtown. We caught up with her to discuss why she loves being the General Manager at Central Bar + Restaurant, and the places she can be found in the #HeartofBellevue.

What do you love about working Downtown?
The people and the sense of community you get from working here. My parents have always been really involved in the community, and that is something they passed down to me and my two sisters, Joey and Taylor. 520 Bar & Grill and Central were created to give the people who work and live in Bellevue a place to relax, unwind and celebrate life moments together. Over the years, I've loved helping my team serve the community and cultivate regulars. There is nothing better than seeing a familiar face and being a home away from home for many people.

Anything special in the works at Central?
There is always something going on at Central! We recently brought back our virtual DJ at Central on Friday and Saturday nights. We are also working on putting something special together for Easter brunch.

Favorite places to shop?
If you took a peek in my closet, I’m sure 90% of what I own is from Aritzia! I love the quality of their clothing, and they have great basics that you can mix and match. They have a great location in the Bellevue Collection.

Favorite places to dine?
I know I might be biased, but during the spring and summer, nothing beats the patio at 520 Bar & Grill. It’s the perfect place to catch up with friends and family and enjoy the long summer nights. I also love going to T’latte and have been going there since I was in high school!

Favorite places to hang out?
If I’m not at Central or 520 (which is rare!), you can find me at the Downtown Park walking my golden retriever Ivy or out on Lake Washington in the summer!
