Tateuchi Center Brings a Vision of Cultural Excellence in Downtown Bellevue
Tateuchi Center, which will soon land in Downtown Bellevue, was conceived as a truly flexible venue, suitable for a wide range of genres and artists, and offering easy access to hotels, shopping, restaurants, and free parking that is unique in our region.
Tateuchi Center, which breaks ground this year and will have its grand opening in 2021, will feature a 2,000-seat Concert Hall, presenting nationally and internationally acclaimed music, theatre, and dance. Additionally, the 200-seat Studio Theatre (black box) will offer more intimate performances, robust arts education programs, and will serve as a venue for local performing arts groups. Tateuchi Center has been carefully designed to be a state-of-the-art urban venue-one of the finest of its kind in the nation-and a regional landmark worthy of the community it serves.
Conceptualization, Tateuchi Center
Tateuchi Center will be located in downtown Bellevue at the corner of NE 10th Street and 106th Avenue NE, immediately adjacent to the Hyatt Regency.
No magic wand can materialize a dream like Tateuchi Center. It’s taken 10 years of hard work, faith, and investment by thousands of donors, volunteers, board members, public officials, architects, engineers, and theater professionals and is still a vision on its way to a reality. The ultimate vision is to present performances that help weave our glorious diversity into a shared experience.
Preview the Vision
While the center is not built, you can experience a preview of what is to come at the Tateuchi Preview Center. Located in the Wintergarden Atrium of the Hyatt Regency Bellevue, the preview center is filled with floorplans, materials, carpets, architectural models, and a video montage of the kinds of artists and entertainers you can expect to see at Tateuchi Center. It’s a 24/7 showroom window on the exciting future in store for regional audiences.
Taste of Tateuchi
If you are interested in learning more about this incredible project, the Tateuchi Center will be hosting a Taste of Tateuchi - a series of low key 'open house' style evenings with wines and nibbles.
